Rorbu without sea view

All the rorbu cabins are comfortable, beautifully decorated, and bright in a Scandinavian style. In the service facility, you can wash and dry your clothes. Year-round, a variety of activities are offered. Offers and opening hours may vary.

In total, we have 30 rorbu cabins at Nyvågar, with 18 on the quay and 12 on the mainland. The cabins are generally similar inside with small variations.

You’ll find the Nyvågar Restaurant on the quay, in a beautiful, warm, and historic setting on the outskirts of Kabelvåg, just 5 km from Svolvær. Quality local products with international flavors, in savory and salty environments, offering genuine North Norwegian hospitality!

Chef André is an avid forager in nature, introducing tastes from seaweed to the best jams you can imagine.

The restaurant was awarded the “Restaurant of the Year” at the Classic Norway Award in February.

Wine Course Full Evening – Food and Wine in Combination with Gyri Mentzoni and Nyvågar

Minimum of 18 people required.

A flavorful and educational wine course for those looking to deepen their knowledge of wine.

Gyri Mentzoni leads the course; she is a certified sommelier and shares her expertise with you. She served as the head of wines at Eyvind Hellstrøm’s restaurant Bagatelle for 3 years and worked at a wine producer in Barolo. Gyri organizes wine courses and wine tours in renowned wine regions.

This evening will provide insights into food and wine pairing. The chef prepares an exciting 4-course menu that perfectly complements the wines presented by Gyri. The course requires no prior knowledge, and the dinner is arranged to be a friendly occasion where you can savor wine, food, and company while gaining new knowledge and discoveries.

Lofoten Loft Bar

Thursday – Saturday, 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM

In the Lofoten Loft Bar, you are welcome to enjoy a drink after dinner or simply savor the ocean view with a drink in hand.

Beer, wine, and spirits are served, and they take pride in presenting one of the world’s largest collections of aquavit – around 300 different varieties!

Specially crafted aquavit-based cocktails are also available.
