Accommodation

The Henningsvær Rorbuer facility consists of several rorbuer and docks that were originally used as fishing cabins, a store, private fishing cabins, saltery, fish drying house, cod liver oil production plant, and fish reception facility. Countless fishermen have lived and worked here.

Henningsvær Rorbuer has been offering rentals since 1982 and was one of the first rorbu facilities in the Lofoten Islands. The rorbu facility comprises 25 rorbuer and three apartments.

There are six different types of accommodations, ranging from small, medium, and large cabins to apartments and cabin suites with multiple bathrooms and bedrooms.

Rorbu 3–4 (G): 2 bedrooms, 5 beds, 42 m² on two floors

Rorbu 5 (S): 1 bedroom, 2 beds + alcove, 34 m² on one level

Rorbu 6-8 (G): 2 bedrooms, 5 beds, 34 m² on one level

Rorbu 9–14 (H): 2 beds in the bedroom / 2 beds in the loft, 25 m² on one level

Rorbu 15 (M): 2 bedrooms, 4 beds, 34 m² on one level

Rorbu 17/19 (M): 2 bedrooms, 4 beds, 36 m² on one level

Rorbu 18 (S): Alcove, 2 beds, 16 m² on one level

Rorbu Suite 20 (M): 2 bedrooms, 5 beds, 44 m² on one level

Rorbu 21 (S): 1 bedroom, 2 beds, 30 m² on one level

Rorbu 22 (L): 2 bedrooms, 5 beds, 38 m² on one level

Rorbu 23 (M): 2 bedrooms, 4 beds, 49 m² on one level

Rorbu 24 (S): 1 bedroom, double bed, 16 m² on one level

Rorbu 25/26 (S): 2 beds in the loft, 16 m² on one level

Rorbu Suite 29 (L): 3 bedrooms, 6 beds, 44 m² on one level

Rorbu Suite 30 (XL): 4 bedrooms, 8 people, 160 m² on two floors

Restaurant Feskarheimen

Is easy to spot in the mint green house, not far from Henningsvær rorbuer. Elegant restaurant that is aware of local ingredients. Here, traditional food is served with a modern touch.

The wooden factory

Is a perfect place for both coffee, beer, wine, lunch and dinner, preferably in combination with people-watching or a concert. This popular place is located in a modern renovated factory with a location facing the sea.

Sjy1 – Einar Hallstensen

Sjy1 is a restaurant and event venue in Henningsvær run by the talented chef Einar Hallstensen.

Full Steam Henningsvær

The former steamship in Henningsvær has now been converted into a combination of museum and restaurant. Bookings are valid for groups only.

The fishing nook

Is Henningsvær’s oldest restaurant. It was established in 1989, and is still run by the same family. Here you get seafood from Henningsvær, meat from farms in Lofoten, and vegetarian options based on local ingredients.

Oneness

Is a restaurant in Henningsvær that was started by the gang behind Restaurant Einer in Oslo. Einvær offers modern concepts adapted to the season and current events, such as Tekno Brunch with Mac’n cheese or “kebab” with natural wine.

The cafe at Galleri Lofoten

here you can enjoy a glass of wine and a platter of cheese from the local cheese producer Aalan Gård. Here you also get freshly brewed coffee and organic pastries from bakery Unseld.

Tobiasbrygga Bar&Cafe

is a peaceful restaurant located in a pleasant room right on the quayside in Henningsvær. The menu consists of local ingredients and is put together by dedicated chefs.

Cafe Knusarn

can be found at the entrance to Henningsvær. This is a cozy cafe with cakes, sandwiches and lunch dishes.

The climbing cafe

is both a cafe, restaurant and bar. Here you meet everything from climbers, fishermen, skiers and artists, and in other words is a place for everyone.

Henningsvær Light Casting & Café

is a popular café with a cozy atmosphere in the middle of Henningsvær. Here you will find hand-cast candles, fresh yeast baking, good food and drink.

Henningsvær Rorbuer is the perfect starting point for a number of activities.

Within a short distance, you have the opportunity to join everything from fishing trips, bird watching, snorkelling, surfing and kayaking, to visiting the aquarium, galleries, the Viking Museum and other museums.
