Guided canoe trip on the canal of Strömsholms, hikes, fire-fighting skills and outdoor cooking, winter day on icy lakes, whirlpool bath and ice diving.

Hike with waffles and campfire coffee

You follow the historic canal to the Trångfors steelworks since 1628 and continue into the forest. On the way, you will hear about the role of iron and channel in the formation of the region. In a forest fireplace, you will try to light a fire and learn the basics of finding wood and lighting a flame.

Then you make coffee and waffles over the fire. The tour continues through the forest and back via the Canal Museum.

Boat trips

Built in 1914 in Odensbacken, the Oden is a 12.5-metre boat renovated in the late 1990s and now equipped with a diesel engine. Initially planned for 47 passengers, it now accommodates up to 24 people, with a deliberately limited number during regular cruises to ensure comfort on board.

Winter

Live the winter like the locals on frozen lakes. Depending on the weather and ice conditions, you can go Nordic skating, cross-country skiing, or do traditional Swedish kicksled. Sometimes there is also the chance to try ice fishing or even snowkiting. Start with safety instructions and equipment, then go on the ice for technical training and a full-day excursion.

On the way, you will stop for hot chocolate and sandwiches.
