During this 2.5 to 3-hour bike tour, you will discover how Malmö has transformed from one of the most industrialized cities in Sweden to now being a showcase of sustainable urban development. We will explore the city’s former shipping area, now turned into a modern and sustainable district, and later move on to the oldest part of Malmö. We will discuss and experience examples of renewable energy, stormwater management, recycling, green mobility, and more.

Tour 2 – The “Sustainable Future of Malmö” on Foot

During this 2-hour walking tour, you will discover how Malmö has transformed from being one of the most industrialized cities in Sweden to now being a showcase of sustainable urban development. We will explore the former harbor area of the city, now transformed into a modern and sustainable district, and later, we will visit the oldest part of Malmö. We will discuss and experience examples of renewable energy, stormwater management, recycling, green mobility, and more.

• 5-9 people: 350 euros for the group

1) Visit to a Restaurant That Turns Food Waste into Lunch

Price: 575 euros – up to 30 people (minimum 380 euros)

Discover a restaurant that uses grocery products that suppliers would otherwise throw away and turns them into a delicious lunch during this one-and-a-half-hour tour. The menu varies daily depending on the available grocery products. We will meet the restaurant’s founders in a conference explaining why it is important to reduce food waste in a country like Sweden, where 1.3 million tonnes of food are thrown away each year. After the discussion, we will enjoy an amazing lunch.

The price includes the conversation, lunch, and drinks.

2) A Guided Tour and Walk in an Eco-City and Green Roof Institute

Price: 605 euros – up to 30 people

During this one-and-a-half-hour guided tour, you will discover various green roofs and learn about their incredible effects on rainwater management, biodiversity, and insulation.
