Very easySet off on an immersive adventure in British Columbia, exploring spectacular fjords, isolated islands and local wildlife, while discovering the cultural richness of coastal communities
Detailed program
From backwaters to wildlife hotspots to cultural sites, this journey among the islands and fjords of the storied British Columbia coast includes Desolation Sound and the Broughton Archipelago as well as neighbouring inlets. This is the place off the edge of Vancouver Island that most people never see.
Snow-capped mountains, glacier-fed fjords, calm and scenic cruises provide the backdrop for this journey through the nature and wildlife of the West Coast, from rainforests to bears and dolphins. On the cultural side, meet the Klahoose Nation for bear watching in a fjord, discover the Namgis U’mista Cultural Centre in Alert Bay and visit local legend Billy Proctor and other out-of-the-way places.
You have two options for this unique adventure:
· The Swell, a historic ship built in 1912, combines classic charm with modern comfort and elegance, offering a unique experience for 12 passengers.
· The Cascadia, a top-of-the-range catamaran for 24 passengers, offers comfort and exclusive access to the wild coastline of British Columbia.

THE BOATS
The Swell
Built in Vancouver in 1912, the Swell faithfully served the community as a tugboat for 92 years before undergoing a spectacular metamorphosis. Today, this exceptional vessel can accommodate up to 12 passengers in absolute comfort, with 6 private cabins equipped with modern bathrooms and showers.
Thanks to a refit, the Swell has been transformed from a powerhouse working tugboat into an elegant passenger vessel, combining classic charm with top-of-the-range facilities. The spacious interior, clad in natural wood, retains the warm authenticity of its original construction, while offering a level of service unrivalled on the coast.
The Swell is much more than a ship: it’s an invitation to escape, combining history, comfort and elegance.
The Cascadia
The Cascadia, elegant, robust and perfectly suited to exploring the wildest coastlines of British Columbia, is specially designed for top-of-the-range cruising. This expedition catamaran offers an ideal balance between comfort, performance and respect for the environment.
With 12 luxurious cabins for up to 24 passengers and a dedicated crew of 10, Cascadia promises an exclusive and intimate experience. Lightweight and spacious, it stands out for its ability to navigate the most secluded coves and offer privileged access to the region’s natural treasures.
Its unique design encourages an experience on a human scale, respectful of fragile ecosystems and coastal communities. On board, every moment is designed to immerse you fully in the richness and wild beauty of the coast.
