Detailed program
Departure dates: Daily, from May 1 to October 25, 2026.
This self-drive tour also operates in reverse.
DAY 1 | CALGARY
Arrival at Calgary International Airport and independent transfer to your downtown hotel. The travel booklet you received contains all the necessary information for your vacation/trip. The rest of the day is at your leisure to create your own urban adventure in the Stampede city and form your first impressions of Western Canada. Accommodation in Calgary.

DAY 2 | CALGARY TO BANFF (127 KM)
Leaving Calgary behind, you will head today toward the magnificent Rocky Mountains. You will feel the majesty of these mountains as you first cross the foothills and then enter Banff National Park, where the rugged peaks become increasingly impressive as you approach. After your arrival in the lively town of Banff, the rest of the day is free to explore its charms. Accommodation in Banff.
DAY 3 | BANFF NATIONAL PARK
The entire day is free to visit Banff and its surroundings. We suggest visiting the Luxton Museum, taking the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain, or strolling through town to admire the many shops. You may also try rafting on the Bow River or take a boat tour on beautiful Lake Minnewanka. Accommodation in Banff.
Optional activity: 2-hour horseback ride on the Sundance Loop

DAY 4 | BANFF TO JASPER (288 KM)
Departure for Jasper via the spectacular Icefields Parkway, considered one of the most scenic drives in the world. We suggest stopping at Lake Louise and Peyto Lake along the way. Stop at Athabasca Falls before arriving in Jasper. Once there, if time permits, a visit to Maligne Canyon is well worth it. Accommodation in Jasper.
Optional activity: 1.5-hour excursion aboard the Ice Explorer
DAY 5 | JASPER TO SUN PEAKS (430 KM)
The Yellowhead Highway takes you along a route first explored by trappers and traders. You will see Mount Terry Fox as well as Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. If time permits, we suggest exploring Wells Gray Provincial Park, known for its spectacular waterfalls: Spahat, Dawson, and Helmcken. Continue to Sun Peaks, a year-round resort welcoming families and outdoor enthusiasts. Accommodation in Sun Peaks.
Optional activity: Eco wildlife and nature safari
DAY 6 | SUN PEAKS TO VANCOUVER/WHISTLER (430 KM)
You will have the entire day to visit Banff and its surroundings. Do not miss the museum visit After Kamloops, you will pass through beautiful sagebrush-covered ranchlands bordering the South Thompson River. This is still the land of vast cattle herds and cowboys on horseback. As you enter between the towering rock walls of the Fraser Canyon, you will be amazed by the rapids of the Fraser River rushing below. More than 750,000 liters of water surge every minute through the 34-meter gorge of Hell’s Gate, and a gondola ride above this part of the canyon is sure to impress.
Further downstream, the lush Fraser Valley opens into the maritime basin characteristic of British Columbia’s Lower Mainland as you approach Vancouver, Canada’s gateway to the Pacific. Accommodation in Vancouver.
DAY 7 | VANCOUVER/WHISTLER
Full day in Vancouver and its surroundings. Board a San Francisco-style trolley for a fully guided city tour of Vancouver. Visit attractions, parks, gardens, galleries, and restaurants at your own pace (2-day pass). Accommodation in Vancouver.
DAY 8 | VANCOUVER-WHISTLER
