Oslo, a modern city surrounded by nature at the end of the Scandinavian peninsula, is situated at the bottom of a fjord dotted with islands. Must-see attractions include Karl Johans Gate (Oslo’s version of the Champs Elysées), the Royal Palace, Frogner Park with its statues by Gustav Vigeland, the Munch Museum, the Holmenkollen ski jump, and the Bygdøy Peninsula with its open-air folk museum, the Viking Ship Museum, the Fram Museum, and the Kon Tiki Museum.
