ITINERARY

DAY 1 – BODØ

Boarding at 5:00 PM and welcome aboard Polarfront.

Discover the ship and your living spaces over a welcome cocktail.

Departure at 6:00 PM.

DAY 2 – SVARTISEN GLACIER

At the end of a fjord, you will reach the Svartisen ice cap, the second-largest glacier in Norway. Its deep blue contrasts beautifully with the green waters of the fjord and surrounding vegetation.

The glacier is part of Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park, one of the most spectacular geological formations in mainland Norway, home to abundant wildlife including wolverines, lynx, moose, and Arctic foxes.

DAY 3 – LOFOTEN ISLANDS – WESTERN PART

Polarfront will sail to Leknes, a central port of the Lofoten archipelago.
You will visit the village of Nusfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A stop in Reine will offer breathtaking views of this postcard-perfect Lofoten landscape.

You will then stroll through the charming village of Å, a museum village dedicated to cod fishing.

DAY 4 – LOFOTEN ISLANDS – EASTERN PART

The day begins with the discovery of the long sandy beaches of the north.

In Eggum, you will step into the history of World War II.

Then head to Henningsvær, a fishing village located at the tip of a peninsula. Nicknamed the “Venice of the Lofoten,” it is probably the most charming place in the archipelago.

Finally, you will visit the Viking Museum of Borg.

DAY 5 – SKROVA

In the shadow of the larger Lofoten islands, Skrova stands proudly, preserving its charm and mysteries. Often called “the whale island” due to its rich whaling history, Skrova blends history, wild nature, and breathtaking scenery.

With its white sandy beaches, small authentic village, and rugged mountains, the island offers a true haven of peace.

DAY 6 – TROLLFJORD

Let yourself be carried through Norway’s narrowest fjord: Trollfjord.

Its name comes from the many legends and myths associated with its mysterious beauty.

Stretching 2,000 meters long and only 100 meters wide, explore Trollfjord by polar pedal boat or Zodiac, or admire its steep shores from the warmth of the Nordic bath or panoramic sauna.

DAY 7 – SENJA

Senja rivals the beauty of the Lofoten Islands but remains far less crowded.

It is an island to explore slowly to fully appreciate its peaceful and natural beauty. A vast agricultural plain meets the sea on the island’s east coast, facing the mainland.

If conditions allow, a beautiful hike in a sheltered fjord will be offered.

Located 400 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle on the 69th parallel, the small city of Tromsø is known as the Gateway to the Arctic. Nestled between glacial fjords and rugged peaks, Tromsø stretches across the eastern tip of Tromsøya Island.

After ascending the famous Fjellheisen cable car to a breathtaking viewpoint over the city, you will visit the Arctic Cathedral, whose architecture evokes glacial crevasses and the Northern Lights.

Finally, you will visit the Polar Museum, dedicated to Arctic wildlife, flora, and the history of polar exploration.

DAY 9 – TROMSØ

This is where your wonderful adventure comes to an end.

Disembarkation takes place at 9:00 AM after breakfast.
