Programme détaillé
DAY 1 | PARIS / LULEÅ
Fly to Swedish Lapland on regular SAS flights. Arrival at Luleå Airport. You will be greeted at the airport by your guide for the transfer across the frozen sea via the ice road to Jopikgården, your accommodation on the island. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to check into your room before joining us for a Swedish fika and getting acquainted. If you wish, you can meet the dogs and perhaps give them a treat.
This first day will be an easy one where you get to know us and the surroundings, and in the evening, you will follow the candles to the dinner location. The evening meal will be prepared outdoors over a fire and enjoyed in a traditional tipi called a “kåta,” as we sit on warm reindeer skins. After dinner, we can step outside and marvel at the natural beauty of Sweden. And perhaps, we’ll catch a glimpse of the northern lights in the clear sky before heading back to the lodge.
DAY 2 | SNOWSHOEING IN THE FOREST – WOOD-FIRED SAUNA EXPERIENCE
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll ensure you’re dressed appropriately for the weather and equip you with high-quality modern snowshoes for a guided tour of our ancient forest. During this tour, you’ll learn some wilderness skills, including fire-making and route-finding. You’ll enjoy a well-deserved lunch around an open fire. We have the opportunity to see island wildlife such as sea eagles, hares, and foxes, and maybe even an elusive moose while we gather around the fire for lunch, followed by coffee by the fire.
After our return, you can relax for a while as we prepare another must-try Swedish experience – the private wood-fired sauna. This is a unique experience for both body and mind, allowing you to unwind in the hot sauna. Before it’s time to leave the sauna and return to the “real” world, you will have time to rest in a warm room next door with a stunning view of the sea, along with snacks and drinks. If you prefer not to use the sauna, take this opportunity to explore the island with fat bikes or kick sleds during your free time before dinner. Tonight’s dinner will be served in the restaurant. And of course, if the night is clear, you can step outside to gaze at the stars or the northern lights.
DAY 3 | DOG SLEDDING
Our day begins with breakfast, dressing warmly, and feeding the dogs (if you wish). Then, it’s time to meet the huskies and prepare for dog sledding. Experience the beauty of the Luleå Archipelago while sitting in a sled pulled by a team of Siberian huskies. As we get ready to depart, the dogs are excited and eager to run—they love it! We’ll traverse the ice-covered bay of the Gulf of Bothnia. After the ride, we’ll enjoy a “fika” by a fire, discussing the experience. If you’d like, you can spend some time with the dogs after the sledding adventure.
Lunch will be served at the restaurant. The afternoon is open for you to explore the village or simply relax by the fire in the lounge. Dinner will be served at the restaurant in the evening. If the night is clear, step outside to marvel at the stars or the northern lights.
DAY 4 | ICE FISHING
Our day begins with breakfast, getting dressed, feeding the dogs, and then we head out for ice fishing! We drill through the ice and fish for local species such as perch or pike with your guide. Hot drinks are provided, as well as reindeer skins to sit on! After ice fishing, we return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, we have planned an optional ice yoga class. Your yoga guide will lead you through a yoga routine including a Northern Lights salutation on the Baltic Sea while enjoying the silence. No prior experience is necessary to participate in this class.
After the class, we will enjoy a hot drink and a snack. If you prefer not to join the ice yoga class, take the opportunity to explore the island with some fat bikes or snowshoes during your free time before dinner. Your final dinner will be our “farewell banquet” where we can enjoy a hearty meal, relive our adventures, and spend our last night together before departing in the morning. After dinner, we will retire to the lounge where the bar will be available throughout the evening.
DAY 5 | LULEÅ / PARIS
Breakfast. You’ll be well-rested to begin your journey back through the ice road to the city and the airport. Departure for Paris via Stockholm.

Husky Joring:
Are you interested in adding some excitement to your vacation? Imagine combining the thrill of fat biking with the joy of being pulled by a husky! We call it Husky Joring, and we’ve been doing it for years, and now we want to share it with you. We have 11 huskies waiting for you. This is an exclusive experience that combines fat biking and being pulled by a Siberian Husky on trails or on the ice. This experience is for cool and cold weather explorers, and it’s unique in Swedish Lapland. We are the only providers of this experience in Swedish Lapland, which is why we call it exclusive and unique. Before you set off, you’ll meet the dogs (perhaps learn their names and help with harnessing them). Depending on conditions and your previous biking experience, we’ll put one or two dogs in front of the bike. Most likely, we’ll start with one so you can get a feel for it, and if you feel comfortable, we’ll add another dog.
Yoga on Ice:
This is a truly special experience. Your yoga guide will lead you through a yoga routine including a Northern Lights salutation on the Baltic Sea while enjoying the silence. You don’t need any previous experience to participate in this class. After the class, we’ll have a hot drink and a snack.
