Ahlström Estate in Noorkmarkku has 6 guesthouses, 31 rooms in total and all guesthouses can be booked fully or by rooms.

All houses have a kitchen and living room, two of them also have their own sauna. Breakfast is served at the Noormarkku Club House.

Classic

Enjoy a comfortable night in the classic rooms located in Sahala, Kumpula, Kultala and Kymppi.

Sahala

Located by the river Noormarkunjoki, Sahala has 12 rooms and 23 beds. All rooms have private bathrooms. Some of the rooms have disabled access. A pet room can also be booked for Sahala. Upstairs, there is a living room, a dining room and a kitchen.

Kumpula

Kumpula, next to Noormarkku Club House, has 4 double bedrooms. Two bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom. Downstairs there is a spacious living room, dining area and small kitchen.

Kultala

The guest house Kultala has 4 double bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. It also has a sauna, a laundry room and a small terrace. The rooms do not have a private bathroom. Kultala is an excellent choice for group accommodation. There is a total of 8 beds.

Kymppi

The guest house Kymppi is suitable for 4 people, with 2 double bedrooms on two floors, a bathroom, living room and kitchen.

Superior

Vainiola’s guest house is perfect for architecture and design magnets. Indeed, the renovation was planned by the architect Alvar Aalto in the 1940s. The rooms are furnished with Artek furniture, and there is a lot of unique furniture. The bathroom textiles were designed by Johanna Gullichsen.

Vainiola has 7 double rooms on two floors, one triple room and one double suite. All rooms have private bathrooms. There is a spacious living room, a dining room and a small kitchen. The rooms have beautiful views of the river and park.

The Liiteri suite

The Liiteri suite for two, decorated in a Finnish style, is in the courtyard of Vainiola, and has its own sauna, as well as a kitchen and a living room.

The Noormarkku Club House is a Rôtisseurs restaurant, offering local and wild food from game from the surrounding forests.

 Activities

Ahlstrom hotel offers a selection of cultural activities, including enriching guided tours to fully discover the region and local culture.

A lot of thematic visits are proposed: a visit of the garden, a course devoted to architecture and design, a walk in the footsteps of Alvar Aalto, a discovery of the history of Ahlström during the wars, as well as a walking tour of the region.

Villa Mairea: a unique place designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto (1939), discover a beautiful collection mixing art, design and architecture (guided tour available in English).

Ahlström Voyage presents the history and evolution of the estate, the Ahlström family and the company over 175 years. There is also an art glass exhibition, as well as a shop and a museum café to extend the visit.

The Sawmill Museum presents the life cycle of a sawmill, one can see original machinery, unique in Europe

The estate also has a wide choice of outdoor activities, including fishing and ice fishing, access to a private wild lake, shooting in the middle of the forest, archery, orientation, hiking trails, as well as sports equipment such as a tennis court and a gym.
