Programme détaillé
Aurora Safari Camp
Aurora Safari Camp is the world’s first winter Arctic “glamping” experience, located in the Råne River Valley in Swedish Lapland.
The camp features five heated cabins set in the heart of nature: three spacious Tipi Cabins and two comfortable Lapland Cones, fully equipped to offer a stay that combines comfort with complete immersion in the Arctic environment. Two uniquely designed saunas complete this intimate retreat, conceived as a true cocoon in the wilderness, with breathtaking views of the night sky.
Stays include access to snowshoes, Nordic skis, and winter bikes. For the more adventurous, a range of activities is available, including snowmobile excursions through the forest, dog sledding adventures, and discoveries of Northern Swedish culture and way of life.
Aurora Safari Camp is open during the winter season, from November to April.
TIPI CABINS – 1 to 4 guests
Aurora Safari Camp features three Tipi Cabins designed to offer both privacy and immersion in the Arctic wilderness. Each Tipi is kept at a comfortable, constant temperature thanks to a hybrid heating system combining electricity and a pellet stove, creating a gentle warmth enhanced by the cosy atmosphere of a crackling fire.
The Tipi Cabins feature north-facing glass verandas, offering uninterrupted views of the sky—ideal for watching the Northern Lights directly from your accommodation. Each cabin is also equipped with a private incinerating toilet and a washbasin.
The layouts are flexible, allowing for solo stays, couples, or families, with the option to accommodate up to four guests depending on needs.
Please note: the Tipi Cabins do not include a private shower. However, both the Forest Sauna and the Sauna in the Ice are equipped with showers, and private time slots can be reserved.
LAPLAND CONE ROOMS – 2 guests per Cone Room
Aurora Safari Camp features two heated Lapland Cone Rooms, designed with glass roofs and large north-facing panoramic windows, allowing guests to watch the Northern Lights directly from the comfort of their room.
Each Cone Room includes an additional entrance area dedicated to storage and changing out of winter clothing, as well as a private bathroom equipped with an incinerating toilet and a washbasin. The Cone Rooms can be configured with either a double bed or twin beds depending on preference.
Please note: the Lapland Cone Rooms do not include a private shower. However, both the Forest Sauna and the Sauna in the Ice are equipped with showers and can be accessed via reservable private time slots.
AURORA LOUNGE
Nestled between the two Lapland Cones, the Aurora Lounge offers completely open views above the tree line. This warm and inviting chalet is a dedicated space for Cone Room guests, ideal for relaxing, sharing convivial moments, and watching the first shimmering Northern Lights.
Settle into a chair by the fire and enjoy complimentary hot and cold beverages from the chalet’s self-service mini bar. For those who prefer the crisp Arctic air, an outdoor fire pit provides the perfect gathering spot under the northern sky, just steps from the accommodation.
Exclusively reserved for Cone Room guests, the Aurora Lounge is an additional relaxation space, perfectly suited for families or groups of up to four people.

SAUNA & SHOWERS
In winter, Aurora Safari Camp offers two traditional wood-fired sauna experiences throughout your stay: the Sauna in the Ice, located on the frozen lake, and the Forest Sauna, set in the heart of the camp. Both saunas are available by reservation, with private time slots ensuring comfort and exclusivity for each experience.
Sauna in the Ice
A signature experience of the camp, this sauna is located directly on the frozen lake. Outside, guests can enjoy an invigorating ice dip before returning to the soothing warmth of the sauna. Inside, the sauna also features a 12-volt shower system as well as a spacious changing area.
Forest Sauna
Located just a few minutes’ walk from the Tipi Cabins and Lapland Cone Rooms, the Forest Sauna offers a peaceful place to unwind while immersed in the sounds and scenery of the surrounding forest after a day of adventure. This traditional wood-fired sauna also includes an adjacent shower and a changing area.
DINING
The dining chalet and lounge are the heart of Aurora Safari Camp. This warm and inviting space is where guests can watch the sunrise over the frozen lake with a coffee, gather by the fire after a snowshoe walk through the forest, or enjoy candlelit dinners inspired by the flavours of the North.
Meals are served in a friendly, communal atmosphere, featuring home-style cuisine prepared by the hosts using local ingredients. Inspired by Sweden’s winter culinary traditions, the menu highlights seasonal and regional produce. The stay is fully catered on a full-board basis, with a dedicated team always on hand to ensure comfort and an unforgettable experience.
Food & Drinks Included (Full Board)
All meals, drinks, and snacks are included in the stay.
Breakfast and lunch are served according to the activity schedule, while dinner is freshly prepared each evening in a home-style spirit, inspired by the culinary traditions of Northern Sweden.
