Itinerary “Family Canoe Adventure”

Weekly departures from May 31 to September 12, 2026

DAY 1 : ARRIVAL IN WHITEHORSE

Welcome to Whitehorse! Your guide will greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in the city center. In the afternoon, there will be time for an orientation session, an equipment check, and an opportunity to pick up last-minute items. (Overnight at a hotel in Whitehorse)

DAY 2 : WHITEHORSE – NISUTLIN RIVER

Our driver will transfer the group via the Alaska Highway to your starting point on the Nisutlin River. Here, your guide will show you how to set up camp and introduce you to the basics of canoeing, with time to practice on the calm, flat waters. Enjoy the long evening under Yukon’s midnight sun with a delicious meal prepared by your guide. (Accommodation: Wilderness camping)

DAY 3 – 5 : NISUTLIN RIVER

The next morning, we break camp, load the canoes, and begin our journey. Over the next four days, we will cover approximately 130 km of the Nisutlin River. With Yukon’s endless summer daylight, there’s no need to rush on the river. Evenings will be filled with fishing, campfire games, s’mores, bannock, and learning about the unique northern environment you’re exploring. (Accommodation: Wilderness camping)

DAY 6 : TESLIN

Today we’ll arrive in Teslin, where ice cream and a Ruby Range van will be waiting. We’ll head back to Whitehorse for a shower and a final dinner together in the territorial capital. (Overnight at a hotel in Whitehorse)

DAY 7 : DEPARTURE FROM WHITEHORSE

Ruby Range will provide your transfer to the airport or your next tour program.
