DAY 1 : ARRIVAL IN WHITEHORSE

Welcome to Whitehorse, the capital of Yukon Territory! Your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in the city center. In the afternoon, there will be time for an orientation session, equipment checks, and an opportunity to pick up any missing items.

DAYS 2–8 : WHITEHORSE – YUKON RIVER

Our expedition begins at Takhini Bridge, near Whitehorse. On the first day, we’ll paddle to Lake Laberge, a 50 km stretch known for its excellent northern pike fishing opportunities. Over the next two days, we’ll follow the rocky eastern shore of the lake, camping near scenic promontories.

After Lake Laberge, the river picks up speed through the narrow and crystal-clear waters of the “Thirty Mile” section, a Canadian Heritage River. This will take us to the historic trading post of Hootalinqua, located at the confluence of the Teslin River. This section is a fantastic spot for Arctic Grayling fishing.

We’ll continue past the confluences of the Big Salmon and Little Salmon Rivers, paddling by steep cliffs, colorful fields of fireweed, and miles of black spruce forest until we reach the village of Carmacks.

DAY 8 : ARRIVAL IN CARMACKS

After more than a week on the river, we’ll finally reach Carmacks, where all necessary services are available. We’ll stay at the Coal Mine Campground on the outskirts of the town, enjoying the luxury of hot showers or laundry facilities. This will be our last evening as a group and a perfect opportunity to share a farewell dinner.

DAY 9 : CARMACKS – WHITEHORSE

This morning, we’ll return to Whitehorse via the Klondike Highway, a journey that typically takes less than three hours. Ruby Range Adventure will provide your transfer to the airport or your next tour program.
