Detailed program

DAY1 | PARIS / IVALO

Flight to Finnish Lapland on regular Finnair flights. Arrival at Ivalo Airport. Transfer to the village of Inari. During the transfer, you will receive the itinerary for your stay and an entrance voucher for the Siida Museum. Transfer duration is approximately 1 hour.

Before or after dinner, learn more about the Northern Lights. Your guide will present beautiful photos of the Aurora. You will learn why the Northern Lights appear, the best places to capture them, and some camera settings tips for photographing them.

DAY 2 | ICE FISHING AND REINDEER

Winter fishing

Start your day with a snowmobile safari on the frozen Lake Inari, also known as the Sami Sea. Riding a snowmobile through Inari’s frozen landscape, your guide will take you to the best spots to drill a hole in the ice. Try your luck at ice fishing, and if you don’t catch anything, you’ll have a second chance by checking our nets on the way back! During the excursion, you’ll enjoy a soup lunch by the fire.
Duration: 4 hours

Siida Sami Museum

In the afternoon, you can take a walk through the village along the Juutua River or visit the Sami Museum. The Siida Museum provides comprehensive information about the indigenous peoples of Lapland, their history, and culture. It also features exhibitions on Lapland’s nature and the mythical Northern Lights.

The museum is open from Monday to Saturday, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Northern Lights Hunt with Reindeer

In the evening, you will encounter an important element of Sami culture and one of the symbols of Lapland: the reindeer. They will take you on a magical ride through the snowy forest, hopefully under a sky illuminated by the Northern Lights.

Duration: 2 hours

DAY 3 | DOGS AND SNOWSHOES

Husky Safaris

In the morning, head to the husky farm for your next adventure! After some instructions, your musher will prepare your team of huskies for the ride. Dog sledding offers a unique perspective on the wilderness, its beauty, and its silence.
Duration: 3 hours

Nighttime Snowshoe Hike in the Arctic

Snowshoeing is probably the most peaceful way to search for the dancing auroras. You will walk with your guide through the tranquil darkness of the forest. If you’re lucky, the feeling of witnessing the magical lights while being surrounded by nature is one that will stay with you forever. And if the hike doesn’t keep you warm, the hot juice will.

Duration: 3 hours

DAY 4 | CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING AND NORTHERN LIGHTS HUNT

Cross-Country Ski School

Before there were roads, cars, and snowmobiles, the only way to get around in Lapland during winter was by skis and sleds! Learn to move like the locals and experience the freedom of cross-country skiing. Your guide will teach you the basics of using skis in a safe environment before you head out on your own.
Duration: 2 hours

Northern Lights Hunt by Car

When hunting for these unpredictable Northern Lights, it is helpful to be able to cover greater distances in search of clear skies during cloudy weather. Our guide checks the forecasts to see which direction the clouds are moving and knows the safe spots to stop and check the sky.

Your four-hour Northern Lights hunt by car has the highest chance of seeing the auroras, as our location allows for the possibility to choose from five different directions to observe the lights.

DAY 5 | FREE DAY

On this day, you can borrow snowshoes or cross-country skis and explore Inari independently.

DAY 6 | IVALO / PARIS

It’s time to leave the heart of Lapland, hoping you had an unforgettable experience.

After breakfast, transfer to Ivalo Airport. Flight to Paris on regular Finnair flights.
