Unusual stay in glass igloos in Pyhä

Location

Pyhätunturi is a destination above the Arctic Circle, just a 1.5-hour drive from Rovaniemi. Hiking trails, cycling paths, and ski slopes of the Pyhä-Luosto National Park, as well as the ski slopes of the Pyhä Ski Resort, are right next to the glass igloos of Pyhä.

Accommodation

The Igloo apartment is equipped with everything you need for a successful vacation. The rooms feature a kitchenette, tableware, and wireless internet.

The igloos have an area of 32 m² and can accommodate two to four people. The motorized double bed under the large glass roof accommodates two people. A sofa bed designed by Tapio Anttila serves as an extra bed for two. All igloos are equipped with a toilet, shower, TV, air-drying wardrobe for outdoor clothes. There is also a blackout curtain in front of the windows.

Prepare your own meals in the kitchenette

You have the option to prepare your own breakfast or other meals in the kitchenette. The kitchenette includes: refrigerator, stove, dishes and cutlery, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher. The K-Market Pyhäntähti grocery store is just 300 meters away.

The Arctic barbecue kota is available for guests of the Pyhä igloos. You can also reserve the place for private use. An ideal spot for a special moment by the fire – an ancient fascination. It is located right next to the igloos but operates independently as a separate component. The kota accommodates up to eight people on its benches covered with reindeer hides, as per local tradition. It also serves as an excellent vantage point for Northern Lights hunters, as it has large glass windows in the ceiling. However, if one wishes to keep it private, dedicated to their family, friends, or someone special exclusively for a two-hour session.
