DAY 1 | SKELLEFTEÅ

Arrival at Skellefteå Airport and transfer (approximately 20 minutes) to the city center.

Check-in at The Wood Hotel by Elite, a world-renowned landmark built entirely from local timber and featured on Time Magazine’s list of the World’s Greatest Places.

Dinner is served at Bryggargatan, also highlighted by Time Magazine for its creative Nordic cuisine that combines local ingredients, design, and authentic hospitality.

Together, they embody the modern spirit and warmth that make Skellefteå one of Sweden’s most exciting northern destinations.

DAY 2 | SNOWSHOES & ICE FISHING

After breakfast, you’ll meet your local guide for a day outdoors in the peaceful winter landscape surrounding Skellefteå. Equipped with snowshoes, you’ll wander through silent forests and across frozen lakes, discovering the beauty and tranquility of Arctic nature at your own pace.

The adventure continues with ice fishing, where your guide shares local knowledge and stories about life in the North. A hole is drilled in the ice, lines are cast, and time seems to stand still. Lunch is prepared outdoors over an open fire, featuring local ingredients and hot drinks that taste even better in the crisp Arctic air.

Back in town, you can unwind at Vana Spa, located on the top floor of The Wood Hotel, while enjoying panoramic views of Skellefteå and the frozen river valley — the perfect way to end a day of Arctic adventure.

DAY 3 | SAMI CULTURE & HUSKIES

Today, we focus on personal encounters. In the morning, we visit a Sami family we know well. You’ll be welcomed as friends: meet and feed the reindeer, listen to stories about Sami traditions and history, and taste typical snacks such as dried and smoked reindeer, gahkku bread, and coffee cheese. There’s also time for joik singing and even a bit of lasso throwing — always a highlight.

In the afternoon, you’ll continue with the husky experience, hosted by people we work closely with. Over lunch, they’ll share their passion for dogs, and then you’ll set off on a husky sledding adventure through snowy forests. The family-like atmosphere and small scale make the experience especially warm and authentic.

DAY 4 | SNOWMOBILE

Our tours work best with small groups of around 10 to 15 people. This allows us to give everyone personal attention and create a truly authentic experience.

The tour starts around 10:00 and lasts approximately 4 to 4.5 hours. We spend the morning riding snowmobiles across frozen lakes, where we prepare and share lunch before continuing our adventure through the stunning winter landscape. Guests ride two per snowmobile and take turns driving, making the experience both social and fun.

We also have a wonderfully cozy lodge for days when the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor dining in the snow. The lodge is unheated, offering a genuine wilderness feeling — sharing a meal in your snow gear, surrounded by the magic of the Arctic.

Toilets are available on-site, and we provide all necessary equipment — helmets, overalls, gloves, and boots — for your comfort and safety.

DAY 5 | SKELLEFTEÅ

Transfer to Skellefteå Airport. We hope you leave with unforgettable memories of Arctic Sweden.
