Detailed program
350 years of presence, protection, and purpose
Fagerholm Island has served as a place of surveillance, operations, and residence for more than three centuries. Established under the Swedish Crown in the 1600s, it later became a Finnish customs post and then an active Coast Guard station from 1945 to 1993.
The oldest standing building dates back to 1728.
Today, the historic structures have been carefully restored and reimagined as warm and welcoming residences. The surrounding archipelago remains untouched and plays a central role in the overall experience.
