The three exclusive and cozy cabins at Løvtag, Et, Ro, and Ly, are designed by the architect Sigurd Larsen. They all feature an open space with a double bed, a double sofa bed, a kitchen, separate toilets, and an outdoor shower. On the roof, surrounded by treetops, there is a terrace located approximately nine meters above the ground. The cabins are built around large century-old trees that run through the entire cabin from floor to ceiling.

Surrounded by trees

Imagine waking up to the sight of the sun shining through the leaves of the trees, while far below you, the night’s cold has left a thin layer of mist covering the forest stream. Inside the cabin, a living tree emerges from the ground and pierces through the roof. Follow the tree up to the rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy your morning coffee along with the spectacular view of the treetops.

Amenities

All three cabins come equipped with:

  • A small kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, kettle, and tableware.
  • Toilets with access to an outdoor shower.
  • A queen-size bed and a sofa bed that can accommodate two people.
  • A rooftop terrace overlooking the forest.

All cabins have running water, electricity, and indoor plumbing. The bed is made with organic bed linen, and there are towels for all guests, as well as a dishcloth and a towel.

Architecture

The cabins are designed by the architect Sigurd Larsen. The design embodies Nordic minimalism, making the most of every cubic centimeter. Inside, the cabins are modern, comfortable, and “hyggelige,” a Danish term representing coziness and contentment. Elevated 6-8 meters above the ground within the tree, the cabins incorporate the tree itself, which rises through the center of the cabin, ensuring that our guests are truly close to nature. Large windows to the south and west allow ample natural light to flood in.

In the Surroundings

In the Woods

The treehouses are located in a small forest near Als Odde in northern Jutland. From the cabins, you can follow small, secret paths deeper into the forest where time seems to stand still. Let yourself be enchanted by the sight of dappled sunlight and savor the scent of oak, beech, spruce, and pine. The forest is like a fairyland with moss covering the forest floor and a small lake, and if you’re lucky, you might even encounter a deer.
