The innovative architecture and design of Skyfire Village and its carefully selected details provide their guests with a rare and unique experience.

Igloos are well-equipped and combine modern Nordic design with the best natural materials. Each Igloo is fitted with high-quality double beds. From your comfortable bed, you have a clear view of the sky, which takes admiring the northern lights and the stars on a whole new level!

In front of the large panoramic window, there are two comfortable designer armchairs and a table.  At your table, you can admire the beauty and quiet of the surrounding forest while enjoying some hot drink, or a glass of bubbly. The atmospheric fireplace keeps the temperature of the igloo just right. Each Igloo has its own toilet, but no shower. During your visit, you can wash up in the Sauna in an authentic Lappish way.

Traditional Lappish food and local culinary dedicacies

Sky Hut Restaurant & Bar, located in the village, offers enjoyable moments with foods and drinks made from local ingredients. Their professional chef has tailored a delicious menu for their guests, consisting of traditional Lappish food and culinary delicacies. They also offer hot and cold beverages, everything from juice made of local berries and fruits to wine and beer produced in Lapland.

Dining in Skyfire Village is absolutely a unique experience. They offer culinary pleasures and exceptional shared dining moments in their hut restaurant. Their guests can experience the charm of campfire cooking by cooking their own evening snack on an open fire, instructed by a guide.

Ordering meals with igloo accommodation completes your perfect experience in the Finnish Lapland. Their hut restaurant is open until late, offering our guests the possibility to get together. The guests can also buy drinks to enjoy by the campfire or in their igloo.

Eco destination

Skyfire Village is an ecotourism destination which operates in accordance with the principles of responsible tourism. It is a privilege to have nature surrounding us. Additionally, they use partners who share our values. The village is designed to be as emission-free and ecological as possible. Environmental friendliness has been observed in every stage of construction.

Skyfire Village is completely produced in Finland. The construction material of the village is Finnish wood which is a sustainably produced, renewable resource. Solar panels have been installed to every building for electricity production. The heating system is an economical and high-quality pellet fireplace which burns cleanly and produces minimal particle emissions. The fireplace also creates a lovely atmosphere. It automatically maintains the desired temperature, and it’s nice to spend time in its warmth. Each igloo is fitted with a compostable eco WC system.

In Skyfire Village, waste is recycled, and the amount of waste is minimized. They don’t use plates or cups made from paper or plastic. The four-stroke-powered snowmobile they drive in winter uses lead-free gasoline.

They also encourage our guests to protect the enviroment with them.

Skyfire Village is located outside of growth centres and mass tourism areas, in a secluded location. Still, there is only a 45-minute drive from Rovaniemi Airport to the area. After booking, you will receive detailed instructions on how to arrive at the igloo village. There are also transfers to the village from the center of Rovaniemi every day, so if you wish, you can order a transfer.

From each igloo, there are serene and calming views to the lake, nature and the Northern sky. It’s magical how there’s no light pollution threatening nature and health. This lets us provide our guests with one of the best places in the world to see the northern lights and Lapland’s starry sky at their brightest.

Skyfire sauna – birthplace of Arctic well-being

Sauna in the middle of the Arctic nature in the wilderness, it is a real place of mental well-being. We don’t know a better place to relax!

During your stay you can wash in the sauna in traditional Lappish way with a scoop or a camping shower. The sauna is included in the accommodation price.
