A two-hour nature-focused snowmobile excursion through the snowy forests of Luleå and across frozen seas and lakes. This guided tour takes you to some of the most beautiful spots with stunning views and opportunities to observe wildlife.

Your guides will meet you at the lodge for a briefing on the day’s adventure. You will receive safety instructions and information on what to expect. The focus will be on nature, local inhabitants, the region’s culture, and the history of the area.

You will use modern snowmobiles for your transportation. This is the natural way locals move through forests and across frozen lakes in their daily lives. Your guides will lead you along groomed snowmobile trails to ensure an easy experience while minimizing the impact on the environment.

You will make regular stops to enjoy the tranquility of the Arctic nature, and your local guides will offer insights into their way of life by visiting some of their favorite spots. On narrow trails, there will be stops for tea and coffee while your guide talks about the surroundings.

In the evening, depart for your snowshoeing Aurora Borealis adventure.

Our goal is to journey through the Swedish Lapland Forest to explore the stunning nature and, if possible, witness the Northern Lights. We will snowshoe through the woods with an experienced guide who will share insights about the environment. If conditions are favorable, the Northern Lights might be visible. We will discuss the science behind the auroras, including the possible colors, their frequency, and tips for photographing them. Along the way, there will be a break to learn how to start a fire in the snow, recognize stars, and even identify animal tracks.

Once our fire is lit, coffee and tea will be prepared, and we will enjoy a local cake. On the longer adventure, the guide will cook dinner outdoors, which we will savor while sitting on reindeer skins under the starry sky. This extended 3-hour excursion includes dinner and offers an immersive experience in nature.

DAY 3 | HUSKY SAFARI

Breakfast.

Dog sledding is an extraordinary winter activity at Brändön Lodge. They have a nearby kennel with a team of huskies ready to take you on a fantastic adventure. The kennel owners have around 60 friendly huskies who love to run and traverse the stunning winter landscapes. The huskies thrive in the cold winter climate of Swedish Lapland and are perfectly adapted to the cold, ice, and snow.

After introductions at the kennel, you’ll receive a safety briefing and information about the upcoming route. You and your partner will learn to control the team of huskies and guide them along a trail through the forest and across the lake. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the scenery and the thrill of driving the sled team. During stops, the guide will talk about the life of a musher in the far north, the dogs, and the fantastic Arctic nature around us.

This self-driving dog sledding experience lasts about 1.5 hours and will undoubtedly leave you with unforgettable memories.

Free lunch.

Free time at Brändön Lodge.

Three-course dinner.

DAY 4 | LULEÅ / PARIS

It’s time to say goodbye to Luleå, hoping you had an unforgettable time. After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Luleå Airport. Fly to Paris on a regular SAS flight.
