Nordic Immersion in Pikku-Syöte: Gastronomy, Culture and Design

DAY 1 | OULU

Arrival at Oulu Airport. Transfer to Syöte. Check-in at Hotel Pikku-Syöte and settle into your Junior Wool Suite.Three-course dinner at Kotva Restaurant.

DAY 2 | REINDEER FARM / OUTDOOR LUNCH / CERAMICS FACTORY VISIT

Reindeer Farm Visit 2h30

This experience will allow you to discover Finnish traditions. The day begins with a visit to a local reindeer farm. You’ll meet the owner and learn about reindeer herding, an ancestral way of life of the Sámi people—the only indigenous people in Europe. You’ll have the chance to feed these animals and visit a small museum house to learn more about the history of the place. (15-minute transfer from the hotel).

Outdoor lunch (1 hour).

Pentik Finnish Ceramics Factory Visit (4h)

Founded in 1971, PENTIK is now internationally renowned for its unique pieces inspired by the wild landscapes of Lapland. A guided tour of the Factory Museum will give you deeper insight into the brand’s history and the art of its founder, Anu Pentik. A light lunch is included. (55-minute transfer from the hotel).

DAY 3 | SNOWSHOEING/ SEES SCENTLAB / FINNISH TASTING DINNER

SEES is a Finnish perfume house that uses pure, natural ingredients sourced from Finnish nature. At SEES Scent Lab®, each participant will craft a personalized aromatherapy perfume oil designed to promote well-being and leave a lasting olfactory memory—evoking the essence of your stay in the heart of Finnish nature.

Smoke Sauna and Ice Swimming experience 3h

A traditional smoke sauna, hand-built, will rejuvenate your body and soul the Finnish way. In winter, you can cool off right after the sauna by plunging into a frozen lake. This experience immerses you in authentic Finnish traditions and mindset like no other activity. For Finns, the sauna is a place of renewal—a space to be fully present, connected to oneself and to others.

Rooms

The rooms have been completely renovated for the 2024/2025 winter season. They are spacious, exceptionally bright double rooms, designed in keeping with Nordic design traditions. The interior décor features high-quality natural materials and Finnish designer furniture. Rooms on the mountain side offer spectacular views of Syöte National Park.
