Detailed program

DAY 1 | PARIS / KIRUNA – ARRIVAL AT CAMP

Departure to Swedish Lapland on SAS regular flights via Stockholm. On the first day, our partner will pick you up from Kiruna Airport tomorrow. The journey to Moskojärvi takes about 1 hour. From our partner’s parking area, you’ll continue by snowmobile for about 3 km before reaching the camp. You’ll enjoy a cup of hot coffee around a campfire and get to know your guide. They’ll provide all the information about the upcoming adventure and happily answer your questions.

Once everyone is equipped and you’ve met the lovely dogs, your guide will give a brief instruction on how to harness a dog, attach them to the gang line, and drive a dogsled. After all dogs are harnessed and ready to go, you’ll embark on an introductory and discovery tour. During this tour, you’ll get familiar with the dogs, the sled, and the equipment. Upon returning to camp, dinner preparation takes place. You’ll spend the evening with the dogs and retire early to rest after your first experience.

DAY 2 | THROUGH THE LAPLAND LANDSCAPES

The day begins with a hearty breakfast. Then, you’re invited to oversee the dogs’ meal and lend a hand. Soon, it’s time to prepare the sleds with necessary food, equipment, and head off for the adventure. On this day, you’ll cover approximately 30 to 40 kilometers through snowy forests, tundra, and frozen rivers and lakes. The area is beautiful and a favorite haunt for moose, so there are good chances of encountering the king of the forest and other wildlife firsthand.

After reaching the cabin where you’ll spend the night, you’ll first take care of the dogs, then settle in and prepare dinner.

DAY 3 | ICE FISHING

As usual, you feed the dogs in the morning, followed by breakfast. Then, you pack up your belongings and hit the trail again. On this day, you’ll cover a similar distance to the previous one, still between 30 and 40 kilometers. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to try your luck at ice fishing in some of the region’s best fishing spots. Afterward, you’ll return to camp, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night either in one of the comfortable rooms or, upon request and for an additional fee, in one of the three Aurora huts for 2 people. There’s even a sauna for you here.

DAY 4 | RETURN TO CIVILIZATION – KIRUNA / PARIS

Today is already the last day of your Arctic adventure. Like all previous days, it starts with feeding the dogs and a delicious breakfast for us humans. After that, it’s time to return to civilization. To do this, you’ll enjoy a lovely snowmobile ride back, which takes about 15 minutes to our partner’s parking area. From there, you’ll take the minibus back to the airport. Departure to Paris on SAS regular flights via Stockholm.
