EasyAction-packed holiday in one of the best Aurora destinations in Lapland! Revontulet – the Finnish word for the Northern Lights – translates as “fox fires”. The firefox is a mythical and elusive creature of the north coveted by hunters.
As it runs along the fells, the fox’s flaming tail whips crystals of snow into the sky and the fur scratches the trees, setting the skies on fire. Legend has it that a person who catches the firefox would be rich and famous beyond belief.
This package has been created to maximize your chances to catch this magical phenomena. In addition, you get to experience other winter activities such as snowmobiling, husky safari, and visit to a local reindeer herder.
The location, just 5 minutes from the Sami village of Inari, makes this high-end resort the perfect starting point to immerse oneself in Sami culture. Inari offers an exquisite blend of quality accommodation amidst pristine nature and Arctic activities.
Detailed program
DAY 1 | PARIS / IVALO
Regular Finnair flights to Lapland. Arrival to Ivalo Airport and transfer to Wilderness Hotel Inari (approx. 30 min). Enjoy a welcome dinner and settle in your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, cold weather gear is given to you either upon arrival or the next day.
DAY 2 & 3 | ACTVITIES
Snowmobile Tryout
This tour is perfect for those who have never tried snowmobiling before. First you will get familiar with the snowmobile, have full safety instructions and driving lesson. After everyone feels comfortable, we will head out for a small journey into the nearby surroundings.
Husky Safari
Husky safari is a ‘must do’ experience when visiting Lapland. You will be taught how to handle the sled before you head out for the husky safari, where the huskies will pull your sled through the beautiful winter scenery. Enjoy the excitement of the dogs before the start, and the serene silence once they get to do what they love – run in the snowy scenery. You will have lunch before or after the activity, and the musher will also show you around the husky farm. All our husky safaris are based on two people sharing a sled unless otherwise stated.
Reindeer Farm Visit
Meeting a local reindeer herder with his peaceful reindeer is one of the top memories for our visitors. At the reindeer farm you will learn interesting information about the reindeer and the life of a reindeer herder. This guided trip will be done by car.
Aurora Camp
This trip takes you to one of our specifically chosen camp spots, where we will try to catch the northern lights. You will be comfortably seated in a sledge, pulled by a guide’s snowmobile. We will have open fire and warm drinks while waiting for the sky to show its magic.
Aurora Snowmobiling
Night time snowmobiling is exhilarating experience. We will head out in search of good location, trying to spot some Aurora Borealis. If the northern lights appear, we will stop and admire the show. We will also have warm drinks to keep us warm and comfortable during the activity.
DAY 4 | IVALO / PARIS
Breakfast and airport transfer. Regular Finnair flights.

Good to know
- All safaris begin with comprehensive safety instructions. Our experienced guides will demonstrate how to operate the snowmobiles and provide a thorough safety briefing before setting out on the trails. Children aged 4 to 12 will ride in a sled pulled by your guide’s snowmobile.
- All snowmobile safaris (maximum third-party liability of 1000€ per snowmobile in case of an accident).
- Please note that the above itinerary is subject to change at the discretion of activity providers due to safety reasons or unforeseen circumstances. Alternative arrangements will be made to ensure they closely resemble the original program as much as possible.
