Detailed program
DAY 1 | IVALO / UTSJOKI
Arrival at Ivalo Airport. Welcome and transfer to Holiday Village Valle, located in the heart of the wild landscapes of the Far North, in the Utsjoki region.
Check-in to your accommodation and distribution of cold-weather equipment. Enjoy your first evening discovering the unique Arctic atmosphere and the stunning snowy landscapes surrounding the village. Sauna optional.
Optional evening activity: Guovssahasat – Northern Lights & Sámi Beliefs
Set off in search of the Northern Lights across the vast fell landscapes of Lapland, by sled or vehicle depending on weather and snow conditions. Your guide closely monitors aurora forecasts to select the best possible viewing locations.
During this experience, you will learn how the Northern Lights are formed and discover the beliefs and interpretations of the Sámi people in ancient times. This excursion combines nature, tradition, and Arctic spirituality in a unique atmosphere.
Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2 | LAPLAND SNOWSHOE EXPERIENCE – 2 TO 3 HOURS
Breakfast.
Discover the silent fell landscapes of Lapland on snowshoes, moving gently through untouched winter nature. This experience emphasizes calmness, observation, and connection with the Arctic environment.
Your guide will introduce local nature, wildlife tracks, and the unique qualities of polar light, at a relaxed pace suitable for most participants.
During the excursion, a snack and a warm drink will be served.
Free time in the afternoon to enjoy the village, sauna, or take winter walks in the surrounding area.
Optional evening activity: Guovssahasat – Northern Lights & Sámi Beliefs
Set off in search of the Northern Lights across the vast fell landscapes of Lapland, by sled or vehicle depending on weather conditions. Your guide selects the best observation spots based on aurora forecasts.
You will also learn about the scientific formation of the Northern Lights and the traditional Sámi interpretations and beliefs associated with this natural phenomenon.

DAY 3 | HUSKY SAFARI – 3 TO 4 HOURS
Breakfast.
Take control of your own husky sled team across remote Arctic landscapes in northern Norway. This authentic husky safari offers a unique immersion into wilderness, animals, and vast snowy landscapes far from crowded tourist routes.
Before departure, guests receive full safety instructions before setting off on a guided route through frozen valleys and mountainous terrain. The experience also includes time with the huskies, stories about this Nordic tradition, and a warm drink after the ride.
Return to the accommodation and free time to enjoy the village facilities and Arctic surroundings.

DAY 4 | SÁMI CULTURE & TRADITIONS
Breakfast.
Free day to fully enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Far North and the surrounding landscapes.
In the evening, step into a traditional Sámi hut for an intimate experience of storytelling, yoik (traditional Sámi singing), and locally inspired cuisine. This cultural encounter offers deep insight into Sámi heritage, seasonal lifestyle, and Northern traditions.
The experience takes place in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, gathered around the fire in a candlelit setting ideal for sharing and storytelling.

DAY 5 | UTSJOKI / IVALO
Breakfast.
Enjoy your final moments in the magical Arctic atmosphere before your transfer to Ivalo Airport, taking home unforgettable memories.
DEATNU HOTEL DOUBLE ROOMS
Standard double rooms are suitable for couples, solo travellers, and even small families, as some rooms are connecting.
All accommodations in the village are well-equipped and heated, remaining warm and comfortable even in the heart of winter. They all feature Wi-Fi, running water, toilets, and showers. The hotel is equipped with underfloor heating for optimal comfort.
Rooms include 90 cm twin/double beds, a TV, a hairdryer, and an electric kettle for preparing tea or coffee, which is also provided.
Large north-facing windows overlook the river, offering views of the Teno River and the Norwegian hills. You also have a good chance of spotting the Northern Lights directly from your hotel room.
RIVERSIDE CABINS
All accommodation in the village are well-equipped and properly heated, ensuring comfort even in the middle of winter.
The charming riverside cabins are located at the foot of the Teno River. From the terrace, they offer breathtaking views over the Teno Valley and the Norwegian hills, where you may even observe the Northern Lights.
The cabins are designed for 4 people and include two bedrooms, a comfortable living room with kitchenette and fireplace. They are equipped with Wi-Fi, running water, sauna, shower, and toilet.
