EasyA meter-long fish or dozens of catches in a day—do you dream of it?
Swedish Lapland’s reputation as a top destination for pike fishing is well established.

DAY 2 TO DAY 6 | CAMP
Fishing trip with full board in a private lodge(s) with French-speaking guides.
Location of the Camp:
The municipality of Vilhelmina, with an area equivalent to that of Corsica, is home to only 7,000 people, resulting in a population density of just 0.87 inhabitants per square kilometer.
Divided into three watersheds that converge into the Ångermanälven River and dotted with dozens of lakes, this northern Swedish municipality is a vast predator fishing territory with nearly endless possibilities.
Throughout the week, we’ll guide you to different pike fishing spots, all located within a 5 to 30-minute drive, carefully selected from the dozens we’ve explored. Whether it’s wide and powerful rivers, small calm and winding streams, wild forest lakes, or vast reservoir lakes, you won’t be able to cover it all by the end of your fishing trip (and you’ll likely be eager to return next year 😉).
The stars of the week will, of course, be the pike. Numerous, sizable, and combative, they will leave you with lasting memories. Meter-long catches or a hundred in a week are achievements that happen quite often.
If you wish to try your hand at perch fishing, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by their numbers and size, making for an enjoyable experience.PIKE FISHING AREA: THE DEEP LAKES
A new lake every day!
The largest bodies of water in the municipality are equipped with several boat ramps for motorized boats. These lakes, ranging in size from 5 to 25 km², offer numerous opportunities for fishing pike, perch, and whitefish. We have several boats available on different lakes, and we’ll guide you to the various launch points.
PIKE FISHING AREA: THE FOREST LAKES
Numerous, varied in size, and very wild, the forest lakes lack motorized boat ramps. The fishing pressure here is almost non-existent.
To access these fishing areas, we offer an original concept: fishing from a canoe. No big boats, engines, or sonar—just reading the terrain and enjoying the silence on the water. Canoes, which are easy to carry and have a shallow draft, allow us to reach waters inaccessible to conventional boats and fish for pike in shallow depths where they are found at the beginning of the season. It’s a true return to the core values of fishing: nature and understanding the water. Surface lures will be especially effective, particularly early in the season (June).
PIKE FISHING AREA: THE RIVERS
There are two main rivers in the municipality: the Vojmån and the Ängermanälven. Accessible from several points, you can fish from the shore or launch a boat.
Located just 5 minutes from our camp, the Vojmån is an excellent spot for evening fishing under the Midnight Sun. The pike in fast-flowing water are often smaller but very combative. You’ll also encounter trout, common grayling, and perch.
