We take you far beyond the beaten path into Europe’s last great wilderness, where pristine nature and Arctic silence reign.

Glide through snowy forests, cross frozen lakes and rivers, and encounter reindeer and moose roaming freely in the far north of Scandinavia.

DAY 1 | KIRUNA

After your arrival in Kiruna, we will pick you up and transfer you to our camp near Jukkasjärvi. Upon arrival, your guide will equip you with warm winter clothing for the tour.

In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner in our cozy Kåta, followed by a detailed briefing where your guide will explain the itinerary and go through all safety instructions.

Overnight accommodation is provided in a comfortable four-bed cabin at the camp.

DAY 2 | DOGSLEDDING

After breakfast, you’ll receive thorough instructions on how to drive a dog sled before preparing for the day’s journey. You will then set off through the beautiful surroundings of Jukkasjärvi and along the frozen Torne River, heading toward one of our remote wilderness camps where you will spend the night.

The day’s distance is approximately 25–40 km and will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the group’s abilities. In the evening, after dinner, you’ll have time to enjoy a peaceful walk in the Arctic surroundings or relax in a traditional Swedish sauna.

DAY 3 | DOGSLEDDING

Today you’ll head out on a full-day excursion exploring the area surrounding the wilderness cabin. The outing lasts around five hours and includes a lunch break enjoyed out in the forest, surrounded by pristine Arctic nature.

DAY 4 | DOGSLEDDING / SNOWMOBILING

After breakfast, you begin the journey back to the husky camp. Upon arrival, you’ll switch from dog sled to snowmobile, where your guide will provide a full introduction to snowmobile handling and safety.

Once everyone is ready, the snowmobile adventure begins. You’ll travel along the Torne River, one of Sweden’s longest rivers, heading toward a remote wilderness camp where you will spend the night. A lunch break is planned midway through the route.

The day’s distance is approximately 50–75 km. In the evening, after sharing dinner together, you’ll have time to enjoy a walk in the surroundings or relax in a traditional Swedish sauna.

DAY 5 | SNOWMOBILING

Today’s tour covers approximately 80–120 km and leads you into more challenging terrain. Along the way, you’ll stop halfway for a lunch break prepared over an open fire. The route then continues in a large loop, bringing you back to the hut by the end of the day.

 

DAY 6 | KIRUNA 

After breakfast, you begin the final journey back to the husky camp. The tour concludes at approximately 10:00–11:00. Transfer to aiport.

Good to know

  • The itinerary provided is a preliminary plan. The route and daily distances may be adjusted due to weather conditions or trail conditions beyond our control. Extremely low temperatures may require shorter stages, while heavy snowfall can slow down the journey and make the trails more demanding. Especially early in the season, some lakes and rivers may be impassable, requiring route changes.
  • Team spirit: All participants are expected to help with daily tasks during the stay. This includes fetching water, preparing food for the dogs, collecting firewood, feeding the dogs, and other duties around the camp.
  • Group size: Maximum of 6 participants, for an intimate and personalized experience.
