Due to the long distances covered daily and the particular natural circumstances, a true spirit of adventure as well as reasonable
physical fitness are required to enjoy this special program.

Detailed program
DAY 1 | PARIS / ROVANIEMI
Departure for Finnish Lapland on regular Finnair flights from Paris. Arrival at Rovaniemi Airport. You will be greeted at the airport by our guides. Transfer to the ski resort of Luosto, located north of the Arctic Circle. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel or in well-equipped double rooms in cottages in Luosto. Full safari equipment will be provided to participants.
DAY 2 | LUOSTO / SAARISELKÄ
After breakfast, instruction on snowmobile handling and safety issues. Departure for snowmobiling (1 person/snowmobile) towards the north, with lunch enjoyed during the day. Arrival in the late afternoon at the overnight location. Shared accommodation in cottages, sauna, and dinner.
DAY 3 | SAARISELKÄ / INARI LAKE
After breakfast, the safari continues through the Saariselkä hills region to Lake Inari. Lunch en route at a restaurant. Overnight stay in a guesthouse, sauna, and dinner.
DAY 4 | INARI LAKE / NORWAY
After breakfast, the expedition continues further north; lunch along the way. Cross the Norwegian border and arrive at Neiden Fjellstue. Sauna, dinner, and overnight stay in simple chalets (shared accommodation).
DAY 5 | ARCTIC OCEAN / SAARISELKÄ
Breakfast. Today, the safari will be led by Norwegian and Finnish guides, and we will finally reach the Arctic Ocean. Then it’s time to head back, and after lunch at Fjellstue, the safari returns to Finland. In the evening, arrival in Saariselkä where you’ll find the sauna, dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel in a double room.
DAY 6 | SAARISELKÄ / LUOSTO
After breakfast, safari heads south, with lunch en route. This is one of the longest driving days of the week. Return to Luosto where you can relax in a hot sauna, enjoy a farewell dinner, and spend the night at the hotel or in well-equipped cabins in double rooms.
DAY 7 | ROVANIEMI / PARIS
After breakfast, transfer to Rovaniemi airport. En route, visit the Arctic Circle where you can meet Santa Claus, visit his post office, and do some shopping.
Departure to Paris on Finnair regular flights.

Good to know
Clients’ personal luggage will be carried with the snowmobiles, so they should not be very heavy. Larger suitcases and baggage can be left at our partner’s office for the duration of the safari. A minimum age of 18 years and a valid driver’s license are required to drive a snowmobile. The deductible in case of an accident is €980 per snowmobile.
- Clothing and Equipment
Before departure, you will receive winter clothing included in the price: winter overall, wool socks, boots, mittens, balaclava, helmet. Layering clothing will keep you warm: wear your own clothes under the winter overall (long-sleeved shirts or leggings, fleece or wool blouse, comfortable pants, such as fleece pants). You should bring with you: a scarf, a ski hat or a winter hat, sunglasses. For your additional personal clothing or other equipment, it is good to bring a soft bag (sports bag or backpack – not a suitcase), which can be easily attached to the snowmobile.
- Multi-day safaris are physically and mentally demanding. Days can be long outdoors, and temperatures can vary between -5 and -40 degrees Celsius. Good physical fitness is important!
- In case of health problems (e.g., heart disease, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, back or hip problems) – please consult your doctor before the trip.
- Also note that this type of safari may involve risks for pregnant women due, for example, to carbon monoxide, vibrations, and other physical strains.
- In case of an accident, each participant is responsible for the possible costs of delivering a new snowmobile. In case of a technical failure of the snowmobile, our partner will deliver a new snowmobile.
- Multi-day safaris are subject to change due to weather conditions, and our partner reserves the right to modify the program, accommodation, schedule, and itinerary according to conditions (snow, ice, etc.).
