Itinerary *
DAY 1 | MONTREAL AIRPORT / MONTREAL (around 20 km)
Upon arrival at Montreal Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative of the Aventure Mekoos team and transferred to the DoubleTree by Hilton, located in downtown. You can then relax in comfort. The evening and dinner are at leisure. Overnight in Montreal.
DAY 2 | MONTREAL / MEKOOS OUTFITTER (around 270 km)

After breakfast at leisure in Montreal, around 8:00 a.m., your vehicle will be waiting for your departure to Pourvoirie Mekoos. Located on the shores of Lake Iroquois, the authentic log lodge and its cabins offer a classic Laurentian setting. Upon arrival, you will be fitted with extreme cold-weather gear to ensure everything is properly adjusted for your stay. A welcome cocktail hosted by the owner, Sébastien, will follow, after which you will settle into your cabins. After lunch, the guide will provide safety instructions and explain how your snowmobile works. You will then have the opportunity for a first ride within the Mekoos territory. Lunch, dinner, and breakfast included. Overnight at Pourvoirie Mekoos.
DAY 3 | MEKOOS OUTFITTER – Snowmobiling on the Kiamika Reservoir

You set out for a full day of snowmobiling toward the vast Kiamika Reservoir, an impressive frozen landscape measuring approximately 18 km long and 5 km wide. The trails cross this wilderness expanse, offering an exhilarating ride through a striking winter setting shaped by ice and snow. The route continues to Chutes-Saint-Philippe, where one can often observe one of the largest herds of deer in the region. After a stop at a local restaurant, you return to the outfitter for dinner and a relaxing evening in the chalet. All meals are included. Overnight at Pourvoirie Mekoos.
DAY 4 | MEKOOS OUTFITTER – Montagne du Diable and sugar shack experience

Today’s ride will offer breathtaking viewpoints. You will head to the summit of Montagne du Diable in Ferme-Neuve, the second-highest peak in the Laurentians, where a panoramic view stretches over the surrounding lakes and valleys. A stop at Windigo Falls will allow you to discover one of the most impressive natural wonders in the region, before continuing the day with a traditional meal in a sugar shack, featuring classic Québec dishes served with maple syrup. Back at the outfitter, you can relax in the outdoor hot tub, enjoying the contrast between the crisp winter air and the warm water. All meals are included. Overnight at the outfitter.
DAY 5 | MEKOOS OUTFITTER – Dog sledding adventure

Take part in a full-day dog sledding excursion, driving your own team using simple commands such as “gee” to turn right and “haw” to turn left. This traditional winter mode of transportation highlights the connection between the musher and the dogs, harking back to the era of trappers and voyageurs during the colonial period. At midday, gather in a remote shelter for lunch before returning to the kennel at dusk. In the evening, relax by the outfitter’s fireplace. All meals are included. Overnight at Pourvoirie Mekoos.
DAY 6 | MEKOOS OUTFITTER – Ice fishing and snowshoeing

A local trapper will introduce you to ice fishing techniques, a practice passed down for generations by Indigenous communities. After preparing fishing holes on the frozen lake, try your hand at catching speckled trout, which will then be prepared by the chef for your meal. In the afternoon, a guided snowshoeing excursion through forest trails will allow you to discover traditional trapping techniques and wildlife management in Québec. The evening is spent in the comfort of the lodge and cabins. All meals are included. Overnight at Pourvoirie Mekoos.

DAY 7 | MEKOOS OUTFITTER / MONTREAL AIRPORT (around 270 km)
After breakfast at the outfitter, you will board your vehicle for the return journey to Montreal, bringing your winter experience in the Laurentians to a close.
Breakfast included.
