Very easyLocated in Montebello, 2 km from Highway 50 which connects Ottawa and Montreal, Oméga is a 2,200-acre wildlife park where you can discover the fauna, flora, history and culture of Canada.
Programme détaillé
The park offers a unique opportunity to see North American wild animals, living in their natural habitat, evolve throughout the seasons. You can admire species from the northern hemisphere while crossing the different ecosystems; meadows, forests, lakes, mountains and the boreal region, from your car or by bus.
We cross 15 km of winding roads to meet more than 400 animals, some of which will come to your car to feast on carrots, a privileged contact with wildlife!
In addition to the car route, there are two hiking areas, the First Nations Trail and Pioneer Land, where you can spend several hours taking part in different activities and walking along the trails.
Throughout this excursion, we go back in time and discover the history of Canada by visiting the First Nations trading trail, the farm of yesteryear and the Lumberjack Camp.
Entertainment and activities
Summer and winter, several events and activities take place to enhance your visit. Every day, at the wolf observatory, it is possible to attend presentations about a pack of gray wolves during which a naturalist guide informs visitors about how a pack works.
Park House
Before the visit, a first stop is essential at the Maison du Parc where it is possible to buy carrots, order a light meal or admire the landscape and the birds of the lake. A dining room can accommodate groups to enjoy a meal, available by reservation.
You will also find an OmegaBon gourmet restaurant. It welcomes you in a friendly atmosphere where modernity and tradition meet. It’s the ideal place to enjoy a delicious meal with boreal notes. Inspired by different cultures, the refined cuisine offers dishes based on local and seasonal ingredients.
First Nations Trail
The First Nations trail, accessible in winter as in summer, allows you to walk on a path of just over a kilometer and appreciate the history of the First Nations of Quebec, each represented by a totem. Picnic tables are harmoniously arranged there to enjoy a meal around the trout lake. Wild deer roam freely in this area and wait for carrots from visitors, they are not very shy.

Land of the pioneers
Located halfway, the land of the pioneers takes us back to the history of Quebec at the time of colonization. There are several outdoor attractions such as play areas, entertainment and white-tailed deer, in addition to a restaurant service. Summer and winter, you can easily spend several hours there taking part in the entertainment and activities offered. It is possible to visit the Trading Post, the Old Farm and the Lumberjack Camp, cross the footbridge in the trees and enjoy a meal using local products.

Animaux
It is an exceptional place where art, history and culture coexist harmoniously and where nearly twenty species of wild animals from the northern hemisphere live freely in a natural environment.
During this “Quebec safari”, it is possible to observe elk, wild boars, bison, moose, red deer, white-tailed deer, Rocky Mountain goats, Alpine ibexes, bears, coyotes, foxes (red, arctic, silver), wolves (gray, black, arctic), all kinds of birds and much more, not to mention farm animals.
Omega Bus
To fully enjoy your visit to Parc Oméga, it is possible to rent a bus and experience the magic of a privileged contact in the heart of nature. Availability is limited. 4 buses including 48 seats for each bus.
Omega Guide
Parc Oméga offers you the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of one of their naturalist guides who will share with you their knowledge of their magnificent species. Their guides will accompany you for a maximum of 4 hours. Working alongside their animals, they will be able to spot them even in the depths of their habitat.
Accommodations
To extend your visit, unusual accommodation is available at the park, some are available all year round, others are available in the summer season only.
Available year-round, wolf accommodations are unique in North America and allow visitors to experience immersion with a pack of gray wolves. These luxurious accommodations are equipped with a full kitchen, a bathroom and a terrace. Mini-chalets called “pod inhabitants” are also available all year round and will allow you to escape into the heart of the forest.
Available during the summer season, ready-to-camp including the house on stilts, the log cabin, the prospector cabin, the wi-tent and even the teepees are also available for a total change of scenery.
All accommodations provide access to a private walkway for observing wolves and bears.
